And when you got the meal tab it was over $100.00?

For me it was around 1997 at The Ole Bay Steamer in Fairhope, Alabama which I understand is now closed.

I have run a few tabs over $100 at a restaurant but we rarely go somewhere I would classify as expensive. When you are feeding 4 or more it can run up in a hurry.

At friend's 20th birthday we went well over £100. I can't remember the exact total but it was closer to £200 than to £100 lol. There was 8 of us and we were drinking champagne like it was water and ordering the cheapest food so we could have more booze!

Mine have almost always been family meals. Allowed my kids to each bring a friend in addition to my wife and me. Adds up in a hurry.

Really can't remember. Do remember one business meeting for 8 people at the inner harbor in Baltimore where I had to pick up the tab and it was EXTREMELY high LOL

Hmmm. I've never picked up the tab when it's been more than $100. In fact, I don't recall any meals when it's actually been more than $100. I haven't really been to any super expensive restaurants though. Sad but true.

Excluding large party meals, I spent about £100 in one certain restaurant that was offering cheap cocktails.

For two people at a "fine" restaurant, for two appetizers, two drinks of wine, entree and dessert, you can break $100 easy (even easier with a tip).

I'd rather pay an extra $20 on the tab and skip the longhorn steakhouse LOL

About 2 years ago a group of us...about 15 people...at Mama's Pizza. When the bill came we all just threw money on it and her tip was well appreciated.

I don't know.... all the time! I never waste money going out to eat unless it's an expensive, special restaurant. I like going out for food I can not make at home. My husband can make a steak and potatoes type meal better than any restaurant, so when we go out it's to specialty restaurants. Our fav "celebrate" dinner is at the Melting Pot, and normally runs us about $150 for the 2 of us.

They had a "Melting Pot" in Panama City years ago. Good food but a very slow meal. Not a quick meal.

Seafood Buffet at the Casino on the Gold Coast is $50 a head, so every time I go there its a given when you include drinks.

We went to lunch in New Orleans at a resteraunt called Franks in the French Quarter. Had a great waiter, that pushed all kinds of specials on us...even sang some Frank Sinatra too. $108.00 later for 5 of us, I can now say it was the most expensive lunch I ever ate.
