Distraction helps, but too much avoidance can delay healing. Have you noticed when your coping tools like work, gaming, or exercise start becoming emotional hiding spots?

If you are distress, and play games or watch TV shows and movies just to divert your mind, you are using coping mechanism as an escape. However, I do not think this is wrong, as long as you are also ready to combat your issues on your own

Yes, I’ve noticed that sometimes distractions like gaming or work feel like avoidance rather than healthy coping. When I realize I’m using them to escape emotions instead of processing them, I take a step back, reflect, and balance distraction with mindful time to actually address my feelings.

I must say that a person must never ignore therapy and healing. Yes, you need to get distracted when you are not feeling well. Thisbis exactly what I did when I suffered from viral gastroenteritis. However, having patience is the key when it comes to dealing with life problems.
