I think she needs a handler rather... You have to be pretty dumb to go face to face with a dog you don't know.

Some people don't know alot about dogs though, it mightn't have been a wise decision on her part but I think she paid a big price for it and I don't think it's funny. As I said, it could have just as easily been a child who did that, as kids do, the responsibility should be the handlers, especially with a dog like that.

It would fall to everyone at that news station. The whole lot were nothing but a bunch of idiots, including the dogs owner. Then again, dog wasn't up to date on it's shots, so that tells me a lot about the dog's owner as well.

Yeah, I agree. I don't blame the dog, he was probably terrified, but those types of dogs need owners who know how to deal with them and unfortunately it'll be the dog who will probably pay the biggest price because of it.

I think what she did was something out of ignorance or complacency...she either knows nothing about dogs or she's too comfortable with her own. Not a wise decision but I'm not going to mock her because I don't think she meant any harm.

She's likely learned her lesson :eek

She probably wanted to look comfortable and 'good with animals', and unfortunately picked the wrong dog.

It seems disappointing that she wasn't either warned beforehand that the dog might be anxious, or that the two guys holding the dog didn't say something when she was petting it. I know you can't always predict these things, but you'd think they would have noticed if the dog was getting upset.

I read the dog was sent to an animal shelter only to be quarantined and won't be put down as long as it doesn't have rabies. Personally I wouldn't want have a dog of an aggressive breed. I have young children.
