Yep, I'm from England. The conservatives are finally seeming to get their shit together after they virtually destroyed themselves under Major, they still seem to be about a lot of spin though. However, Labour has got too complacent and think they can get away with anything seeing the've been in power nearly 11 years now, they need a good kick up the arse!

I completely agree. Major was all talk, tried to avoid the problem instead of fixing it. Then there was that whole infighting over Europe business.
I also think the labor party has been a bit flip-floppy; I mean, does Blair of all people really represent England's Labour party? Gordon was more left wing then him (not that that makes him much better), and now he's in office. uke:.
Both parties seem to be in a little bit of a mess right now, but the conservatives seem to be rushing to try and pull themselves back after 10 years.

Yup! All three parties are in a mess right now, The Tories just seem the best or least worse choise to me, Labour are more Conservative than the Conservatives these days anyway! I actually liked Major, I thought he was a great bloke but his party destroyed themselves with their stupid in fighting. When Major basically said, fuck it!, resigned and held a new leader election which he won, I had the utmost respect for him! Unfortunately it didn't stop all the idiots in his party from carrying on their bitching!
