The moon landing. I watched it at school, and remember the girl sitting next to me was busting to go to the toilet.
The teacher kept ignoring her raised hand and pained look because she was too engrossed in the footage.....until the girl pissed herself.

The terrorist attack at the 1972 Olympics.
That was one I remember vividly. I was aware of the Kent State shootings and some of the Vietnam drama before that. Was a tad bit too young for moon landing, though my folks claim I was in the room with the rest of the family that night. I just don't remember. None of these I really understood the significance of.
Elvis' death was the first really earth-shaking news that I remember that consumed everyone around me, and I recall when and where I was and how everyone reacted.

Hillsborough. I mean I am not sure how historic it is in general historic terms but in football terms certainly. I don't fully remember it but I do remember watching the TV at the time and them talking about it etc.

I was spoiled. Living here in Floriduh, my parents took me to the launch.
It was loud!But before that I remember night after night of news coverage on the war in Vietnam.
I swear I also remember when President Kennedy was shot. I remember my mom crying. But since I was only a month old, I don't see how I really can remember it? But I do.
