Took a near 8 hour flight on a Friday to spend Friday evening, Saturday and then drive to the airport for the flight back on the Sunday morning :nod:

Things went sour but thems the breaks as the saying goes. I don't regret doing it, although I do have regrets about things I could/should have said.

It's 4 hours (very lucky I know, some are on the other side of the planet) but we somehow only manage to see each other 2-3 times per year. I have to rent a car because mine can't handle the trips, and it's costly.

I'm not sure about a bus (didn't think of that but we are international), but the train schedules are horrible (often taking 6-12 hours one way!) and costly. More than the car!

Things could improve, *when* I get a better job I can get a better car, or afford the rental better. It may not always be this sparse for visits, I just hope it doesn't get harder
