Kill a Triffid?

Just had a big, and totally random discussion about this in the pub.
Personally I favour a shotgun, double O, full (maybe half) choke for distance work, and a big, fuck off axe for close up!!!

Anyone else with a preference??

i myself would struggle to kill one,as id be blind after the meteor shower which brought the buggers to earth in the first place ,,,so i would use my ninja type skills to sense their whereabouts and flame thrower the bastards
