Re: Whats for dinner??
American Dumplings
2c Flour
.5 tsp salt
1 egg
1/2c milk
5 tbsp butter
egg, milk & butter to room temp.
Mixed til a ball, rolled out to 1/8 & cut w/a pizza cutter into diamonds and dumped into the broth.
Which today happens to be 1 can of cream of mushroom & garlic soup, 2 cans of cream of onion soup. 1 can of water, 1 can of half milk & half 1/2 & 1/2, about 1 cup of leftover chicken noodle soup broth and about a 1/3 cup of the juice from the chicken I roasted & then broke apart earlier... I also added a bag of thawed mixed veggies and the chicken breasts that I cut up after I separated them from the body:cool
If I'd have been on the ball I would have made homemade bread to go with.... But, SusieHomemaker I ain't
