I don't think the majority of Americans are stupid. I think they are ignorant and if a subject is very complicated they have to be fed it in small doses. I think the average American has less attention span than in the past, they want everything, fast, easy and as pain free as possible. And change, of any consequence, never happens that way. My two cents.
It's all the drugs the medical industry has people doped up on.

That is Republican/Conservative rhetoric, nothing more.

I've yet to see one poll with less than 50% opposed to this bill. Today's poll... AFTER it's been passed was 59% against, 39% for, and 13% against because it was not completely universal healthcare.

Facts are facts.

the republicans should pull a fast one on the democrats and try to get a bill started that would provide medicare to everybody and void this bullshit.

I bet you would find the voters would support that in droves compared to this garbage.

Figure out a tax and let everybody contribute with no caps and no exemptions even if you make minimum wage

Unfortunately, from what I've seen, the Republicans seem too busy picking on every little thing Obama does to actually come up with anything positive. Maybe that's one reason why they lost the election?:dunno
