I just sent one- asked her to let me know how next week looks for her and maybe we could meet up and do the girl's night thing. That way I exclude him without being super duper obvious.

There are many times I have friends that I love her, hate him or vice versa boat. This guy sounds weird though, I sure as hell would kill my hubby if he said something like that to my friends! And sometimes a friendship can clarify things for people, not that you should be a marriage counselor but sometimes when one finds themselves explaining a situation to another out loud, it clarifies things for THEM.

I just read your post for the second time and got the same impression. Her husband is totally ignorant and doesn't mind embarrassing her in public. Nor does he mind spouting off crap when she is with others in public (you who he doesn't know). Sounds like an abusive husband to me.

I really don't see how you can have a relationship with her without having to deal with him. You might want to rethink how involved you want to be with these two people.
