The real question is why would you drink that crap? I don't enjoy having to chew my beer.
it keeps guiness from thickening up too much while it sits and waits to get drank
Guinness should have a creamy texture when drank,the widget is there to help maintain the creaminess throughout the pour.Sorry but the whole idea of drinking Guinness from the bottle or can is just completely uncivilised IMO. Guinness should be poured into a glass and drank ALWAYS.That way you get the proper mix of creamy head and stronger taste of the Stout itself. The same applies for Murphys and beamish Irish Stouts which are more flavourful than Guinness.
