What is the referral center?

Well, now you can refer people to OTz using your own affiliate code and get credit for it! What do you get? How about 1,000 tokenz. Not 10, not 100, but 1,000!

You can send an email to a friend with your affiliate code right from the referral center, or copy your referral code to a post somewhere or your own email. Since your friend might browse the forum or play some games before deciding to join, a cookie is stored so that if they come back later you'll still get credit for it. Only condition is they must introduce themselves first. One post is needed for them to count permanantly as a referral.

We're working on some stuff to spend tokenz on, so sit tight for that. In the meantime, tell your friends!

PS - the tokenz were modified a bit... you now earn even more tokenz for starting a thread and an added bonus for posts that aren't really short.

Go to the referral center and click "invite a friend". In the email you'll see your code. Copy and paste it whever you want. For example, mine looks like this:

http://www.offtopicz.net/profile.php?mode=register&refer_id=2

Yours will be the same other than the ID number at the end.

So i can put that as the URL in my sig and use an offtopicz.net for the link part? I had something like this for mainstreamtopics... I had the most referrals to my name for that board.

and then they banned me because I like imports. :rofl

It's supposed to be that way. It's the title of the forum. People don't search for "offtopicz". I understand why you said that though, but yes it's supposed to say that.

FYI - you can change the email to say anything you want.
