Lighting is subjective to where and what your doing.. You don't always have a choice in where the sun is or how dark it will be when you take a shot..

I personally don't like to edit to "remove" objects from my pictures unless it's a total must.. I try to position myself in the best place to start with..

It really depends on what type of photography you are doing.. People, landscape, macro or telephoto either stars or sports..

I believe in taking as many shots as possible and can burn off 25 pictures in as fast as my camera can keep up with to get the right shot..

Using a tripod is extremely important.. When you don't holding your Camera and lens as stable as possible will help greatly..

There are times when it's best to let your camera show you the best settings and be a man than to try to be the worlds best photographer. There is a reason for Auto and also for Manual..

Use the Photography web sites to learn what you need to know and listen to PODCasts if you think that can help you.

Most of all none and all of the advice will apply.. ;)

i definately want a tripod becuz i cannot stand very steady and usually end up with one of my elbows digging into my side to ensure steadiness.

i dont even know how to change away from the Automatic pic settings lol, so i find that works best for now

A bad one haha :p

I use editing programs, mainly iphoto and some version of photoshop. Not heavily, but nature isn't always terribly accommodating when it comes to getting a perfect picture, no matter what you do yourself.

Natural light is my favourite too, because it just seems to work better, but I'm trying to work on taking more indoors, artificial pictures, because especially in winter, having any natural light when I actually want to take a picture is a fucking miracle :p

I have to use software. Sometimes the glare when shooting through outside of a window into a lighted room is bad.
