Whatever the phone was that was on special when my parents reupped their Verizon contracts two years ago. Similar to the one they have now, but I like this one better. It plays music and takes pictures, so it's a major upgrade from my old phone.

Motorola V3i. Has everything I want and nothing I don't need. Plus, there are plenty of cheap accessories I can get since it's such a popular phone. I like it in that it's proven durable, has good battery life, has good reception, a VERY clear speakerphone, good looks, and easy to read screens.

There are better ones, but I paid $99 for it a year ago, and there was no better deal at that time. I'm very happy with it.
