I've never been to Nevada. But much of the state, as beautiful as it is, is incredibly remote.

They say that Wyoming is the most sparsely populated state. And parts of the midwest are out in the middle of nowhere.

What do you think?

Nevada has Las Vegas though lol.

Honestly, I've found that the people, your family and friends are what make a place interesting.

It depends what you consider to be fun, right? One person could live in the most remote part of the WORLD, but have a ball fishing, hiking, and who knows what else, and another might be bored out of their mind. Same with living in a city.

For me, the most boring place I'VE lived, was Edmonton, Alberta. It was the furthest I've ever been from the ocean and I hated it. I always lost my sense of direction in the city because there were no bearing points on where the ocean was.

North of Fairbanks Alaska get's pretty scary.

Alaska puts the lower 48 in perspective IMO.

What I can't help but wonder is if you've never visited a place in person, how can you draw you're own personal opinion about it?

Ironically enough on the East coast, IMO Maine gets pretty desolate in some areas compared to any other areas east of Ohio.

I think we live in a pretty boring state, unless you like redneck past times. Or skiing.

most boring city i have been to was Bay City, Michigan, USA. I found the only interesting thing there were the bullets holes in my hotel window.

Next to that city is Blindriver, Ontario, Canada. I used to hate HAVING to visit there. No malls or proper shops - a highway running through it with a Tm Hortons and a KFC. When we drive through Blindriver I let my dog have a pee and shit there, thats how exciting it is.

You know it totally depends on what you like. There is a place in my state Ritzville, WA, NOTHING is there, population probably 1000 max. No trees, no water, flat as all out. I cannot imagine living there.

I would hate to live in a small town...shudder.

Michigan in general, I mean...it was all about industry, which is boring in itself, but now that industry is gone...good luck :24:

Interesting. You having to remember that a boring place to live and a bad place to live are two different things. I'd imagine Mogadishu would probably be one of the worst places on earth to live but far from boring! I think Letchworth is probably the most boring town I've been to. It all looks pretty much the same and there's not a lot to do. It was built as a bit of a puritan ideal garden city 100 years ago so they banned building pubs which wasn't lifted till the late 50s and even today, there are very few of them for a town of that size, no night life whatsoever.

I think you have to come to London to experience worst. Full of them, some nasty and rude...or is that the locals? :p

I've been to London. I quite enjoyed it, but then I was alone in a big city with lots of exploring to do. And it was lovely and sunny. The tube is fab but I'll be dammed if I could use it to get to work, I'd wanna have a shower when I got to work, it's so hot and sweaty :yuk

oooh yes espanola. Its so boring i forgot about it.:D Yet another dog shit and pee stop with only a Tim hortons, a wendy's, a trader shop with awesome fudge and a truck stop. Oh and the police station across the street. I miss the little restaurant that used to be there. The one that served ice-cream, now you have to go to the traders shop, which btw has the cleanre toilets than the Tim's/Wendy's place next door.:tooth
