I have learned over the years that different things mean different things to different people. For instance I do not consider someone that is academically smart to be intelligent per se, because it means nothing to me to be able to hear something and then just simply repeat it at a later date. I value and respect people that have had experience and been able to deduce certain gems of knowledge that way, themselves, rather than have someone else tell them/dictate to them.
Over academic smarts I much respect those that have good people skills. Without people skill it doesn't matter how academic you are; you are bound to get nowhere and fast.
Freedom means a lot of things to me - being able to go out in just my pajamas, because I didn't feel like getting dressed into 'going out' clothes. Not caring what other people think, freedom from thinking to much. Freedom from having to work every day.
What does freedom mean to you?
