Growing weary of the recent mudslinging and negativity, I started this thread. What do you like about this site? What positives have you experienced since joining? Have you met true friends?
Personally, I enjoy how global this forum is. There's members from every corner of the globe on here and many different viewpoints to explore. There's also a fairly large age group from teens to 40+. I've made acquaintances, but I'm not one to use the word "friend" loosely. There's also a level of uncertainity on this site. I open up a thread and, alot of the time, I don't know what to expect. It's fun and, when all else fails (using a cliche, not speaking about a member), there's Games.

I like that it's a fairly well occupied forum with people from all over really, therefore there will always be different viewpoints and that makes for good debates. There's always topics going on which is good for the activity. I suppose I class people on here as friends in a sense too. I don't tend to take the Internet too seriously, nor should anyone. It's up there in terms of quality of the forums I have been on over the years.
 
I really like the age ranges as well. On my last forum, I was one of the oldest. That wasn't awesome because I got sick of all the 14 year olds bitching about dumb stuff that everyone bitches about during puberty.
The staff listens to the members when it's clear the majority are unhappy. Very good thing =]
 
I like that if you do dive in and start posting without really knowing anyone, so long as you're not thick as shit you can get accepted pretty quickly.

I mean, I say that on the assumption that as people have repped me for posts I've made, I can't be doing too badly :p

But there are other members who seem to have joined around the same time as me and I thought they'd been here ages because although I keep seeing stuff about 'please be nice to the newbs guys, don't make us say it again', I've found that people are nice to the newbs!
 
I like this site because of most of the members here. I like discussing things with a wide variety of people that you'll find here.

From one day to the next all hell can break loose..... and then... things get to humming harmoniously before you know it. We've just got to give ourselves time to adjust.

I like the tokenz..... the reps..... the avatars.... the signatures..... being able to PM members.... being VIP..... being a Mod (mostly)..... being RedRyder first and foremost..... She's the me that lives inside of the real me. I can only let her out here. :ninja

The site owner, Veronica..... is a sweetheart. (That is not brown nose talk.... it is fact! :mad )

I've been to other forums..... but this place keeps pulling me in. :)
 
It is a nice forum and many nice people here
but i can not say anything bad about other forums most i was were good it is just myself the problem most times and i left am not very easy person to talk to too much close so after a while i end up leaving because of that
who knows when i will from here ..anyway great board and hope will continue to be the same for a long time
 
I've met 2 of the current regular posters on this site and went out on the piss with them and also with an American member who used to post a lot but hasn't been on here for years. They were all a good laugh, especially Zorak . We got pissed up the top of Primrose Hill in London and Zorak was so drunk he nearly fell down it.:24::thumbup
