Most religions and philosophies emphasize ethics, but applying them in real situations can be complicated. How do people decide what’s right when values clash with convenience or social pressure? Do moral principles change depending on context?

Living ethically means making choices that consider others, your community, and long-term consequences. It’s about honesty, fairness, and responsibility in small actions like how you treat people, use resources, and balance personal gain with the wider good.

Ethics and morality are subjective terms. It depends on person to person, community to community, cultures to cultures, and countries to countries. What is ethical and moral for an individual or a community might not be ethical and moral for another individual and community
