There are some friendships that faded even when there was no drama, or conflict involved. They fade because our priorities change, and there are things we must focus on more now. Accepting what happened is the best way to go. Who knows? Time will come when you will get to reconnect with them when things align later. What do you think causes some friendships to fade over time?

Most of my friends that got married, we are no longer friends like that again. The reason is clear. They have families to take care of and I can't relate with that. It is normal to expect to lose friendships as we grow.

Friendships can fade due to distance, life changes, or shifting priorities. Miscommunication, growing apart emotionally, or lack of effort also contribute. Even strong bonds can weaken when routines, values, or interests no longer align, making it harder to maintain connection over time.

I think friendships fade when people grow in different directions. Life changes like work, moving, relationships, or shifting priorities create distance. When communication becomes rare or effort is one-sided, the bond weakens naturally. It is not always conflict, sometimes it is simply life moving at different speeds.

Friends come and go. This is the reality, you change schools, change jobs, move places, you continue to make new friends and lose old friends. But it is also true that some friends remain for your entire life. I am still in touch with a few people whom I have known during junior high.
