I want relaxing music and music with lyrics that carry a message in them. I don't like mindless dubstep/electro/EDM music, it doesn't make any sense to me. I know that music doesn't neccesarily have to make sense, but still. I also like classical music sometimes because it's calming and it helps me fall asleep :D

What about you?

I personally like Dubstep, DnB, Jungle and Old School Hardcore, and I seek different things in each genre.
For Dubstep, I want the dark atmosphere and the basses with a sub-bass.
For DnB, I look for a relaxing mood with relatively chill basses, although sometimes I want something dark, like Darkstep.
For Jungle, insane drum patterns (especially Amen Break) and a sub-bass are the way to go for me.
For Old School Hardcore, it's the moments that tug at my heartstrings that I'm looking for.

I love music that are pretty chill. I used to dislike EDM stuff too but there are EDM music that can also be chill and sounding sexy. Check this one out, you might just like these... it: https://soundcloud.com/bluetownsyndicate/makeup-sex

Well, I basically like every genre of music, so depending on my mood and on the occasion my musical choices change.
When I wake up I usually put on some motivation and pumping up songs, if i'm feeling happy, i'll go with some rock or hip-hop, when i'm going to bed I listen to slow, calm songs, too fall asleep.

I like a fairly wide range of musical genre. I'm really into Dubstep, Drum n Bass, Reggae and Metal mostly though. I think when listening to Dubstep I'm usually in it for the bass, but sometimes if its more minamilist stuff then I'm digging the smooth vibes and subtle wobbles. If I feel like listening to metal, some fast double kickdrums are a must, and some nice gritty fat slam too!

I don't think I can actually express what I seek in music. I need to feel them, to connect with them. That can happen either because the melody is catchy, or fun, because the lyrics are great, because I can't get enough of the chorus, because it makes me remember something. Or preferably all of those combined! For me, there are several songs I like, but it's not everyday I find songs that combine all of those elements. When that happens, I find that I can't hear the song enough, I'll put it on repeat all day long. Until I get really tired of it.

The mood I am in determines the kind of music I listen to. When I'm tired and just don't feel like doing anything, I lie back on my couch and play slow music. If I'm mad at someone I have a selection of heavy metal tunes which I sing along to and they help cool off my anger [for example, Disturbed's Indestructible] because they make me feel superior.

Need I go on. . .

I like a lot of rock and metal music with good rhythm and a good beat to them. If they have a good message too, well, that's an added bonus! Bands like Metallica, Guns N' Roses and Black Sabbath are great if you like that type of music.

I'm always looking for music that has a good beat with strong vocals. I could careless about the genre, as long as these two things are there. If I can feel the passion behind the song, then I will likely enjoy it.

I look for music that has a good beat and ferl to it. If it doesn't catch my interest, then I don't listen to it. I like to listen to a lot of different types of music and I only pick the music that I think has a good feel to it. If I don't feel the beat and it doesn't speak to me, then I don't listen to it.
