I wanted to be a a vet or a paleontologist. I've always had a love of animals, science, history... and now that I have a better understanding of who I am and what I love, my wishes back then don't seem so random anymore. I would still love to work in the sciences somewhere, but that won't be happening.. I'll just continue to obsess over the world around me and where it all came from.

Also.. if you could do anything for a living right now, what would you choose to do?

Paleontologist, that sounds awesome! you must have been that kind of kid knowing 100+ names of dinosaurs and collecting prehistoric toys :)

I wanted something similar, just didn't know what exactly. My simple mind didn't understand that science is more complicated than wearing white clothes and looking into microscopes.

If I could do anything right now, I'd be a writer. I used to write a lot of stuff but dropped it as I dropped most of my hobbies once I grew up.

I read a lot of pirate stories when I was very young and naturally I got to have this desire to be a captain on some vessel. In fact I held onto this dream until much later when I got an accident and that ruled out ever working on a ship. Fate decided that for me, otherwise right now, I'd aboard some ship. Sigh. . .

I actually really wanted to be a vet too. I love pets/animals in general also and the thought of working with them seemed great. I think I decided at one point I didn't want to be a vet anymore because I know it would be hard to have to put pets to sleep and see them in pain. I did volunteer a lot though.

I wanted to a criminal psychologist... all those CSI episodes really did me some brainwashing, although I still see myself doing it sometimes! But I don't know... I'm currently 18 now and I have no idea what to do next after highschool.

i wanted to be a vet until i realised that it is more difficult than being a regular doctor. To qualify you need straight A's in all sciences and volunteer in zoos and vets to prove you love animals. As i haven't done or got either, i did not become a vet.

I am one of the lucky ones. I am living out my childhood dream. All my life, I wanted to be a writer. I wrote poetry and short stories, as a child. I continue to do that, as well as, working on three novels and write articles.

I have always wanted to be a singer. Since I was 4, I always loved to dance, sing and be in the spotlight. I started writing songs when I was 10,took piano and singing lessons. I am very lucky because I get to do what I love and unfortunately not many people are given the chance. I also wanted to be a detective when I was little. I had a friend who had a lot of toys(like handcuffs and guns), we would go out on the street pretending we were detectives :D Good times :D

When I was little, I loved to play with legos, so my dream was to build buildings and houses, to be an architect or even an construction worker!
But at the moment, I really don't know what to do after highschool, i'm pretty screwed. hah

I remember that I wanted to become a doctor so I could find the cure for cancer. That was in like 6th grade. I didn't fully understand what that entailed, now my dreams have shifted A LOT, and I'm working towards social services. Before that I wanted to be an environmental scientist/activist, but I shot that down after having the most ironic and hypocritical environmental science class in high school. Turned me off from that field forever.

I wanted to pitch for the NY Mets and why not, I had a wicked curve ball! Sadly they never called, probably because they weren't in the market for ten year old girls with a live arm. I also wanted to play in the Lawrence Welk orchestra and they too did not call. My third wish was to be a firefighter which happily I was able to accomplish as a member of a volunteer fire department.

I wanted to be a lion. I've ended up perusing an education in English and Biology in the meantime. One day, though. One day.

Follow your dreams.

When I was coming up, I wanted to be a millionaire/musician/businessman. I'm still striving to do this, however I'm taking a break and trying to get my business and my cash situation right first. It took me until High School to discover what I actually wanted to do in life since I was involved in a good amount of activities. I think it's important to follow your dreams though.
