What are your tastes in movies?

I tend to like certain types of horror, fantasy, sci-fi and action/adventure type flicks. I hate chick flicks, sports flicks, slasher and zombie flicks.

A few of the movies that have com out in the last few years I thought were really good were The Croods, Dracula Untold, Hotel Transylvania, Haunting in Connecticut 2: Ghosts of Georgia, and a few others.

My favourite genres are comedy and war films. I particularly enjoy films about WWII and 'Nam. With regards to comedy, I prefer adult humour but can't stand rom-coms at all. I'm also not a fan of Disney or most other animated films.

I'm a horror movie guy myself. I like the gore and it's always a pleasant surprise to see new directors add different elements in new horror movies. Most horror movies follow the same script pattern. It take a really good director to bring new twist and elements never seen in movies.

I also like comedies. Stupid comedies like Hot Tub Time Machine. The violator character is off the wall and screwball funny. I usually take in a comedy just to spice things up in the day, and get a laugh when I feel down.

So lets do a recap. Horror movies at night, and comedies in between. That's the way it pretty much goes in my house.

I like some comedies...I tend towards dark comedies though. Like, "I Sell the Dead", "Sweeney Todd", "Trick 'r Treat"...those sort of creepy, spooky, dark, gallows-humor comedies. Lord of the Rings! YES! I dig the Harry Potter flicks too. Hate rom-coms, chick-flicks, heavy romanctic dramas and those sorts. Love most of the Marvel heroes comics movies that have come out too.

Gotta admit. I'm a science fiction and fantasy fanatic. Love the hobit, lord of the rings and game of thrones. I also adore well made marvel and dc movies.

I'm definitely a science fiction, war or action movies person. There are some martial arts movies I live as well, such as Myn Bala or Mulan but on the whole I stick with sci fi, war or action movies.

I enjoy watching horror movies on occasion. But with the exception of when I was a child, I've never felt afraid while watching a horror movie.

Psychologists say that many people like to watch horror movies to test themselves, as they want to see if they can handle watching scary movies. It's sort of a macho thing.

Kind of a mixed bag of drama, horror, fantasy, magic, mysteries and historical fiction. I HATE musicals and romantic comedy.

I like most kinds of movies as long as the plot and the actors/actresses are good. They include action, adventure, drama, musicals, mystery, romance and science fiction.

…’people’ movies, centred on the depth of a character/characters…drama movies I guess that would be which could just be in one single location but are totally absorbing in their exploring of the characters depth and emotions…I love court dramas and I’m a huge mystery movie fan…and I love real life/true stories…I like movies to make me feel and make me think …but I also love a good thriller and kick ass action…and scary is good/not gory but chilling…Im a movie fan, I like many genres….
