I've only started this job...I'm working as a project administrator for an oil sands project. It's a different set up: we work 14-12 hour days straight and live in a camp, then go home for 14 days. I work 6,000 kms from home. So I basically work the same # of hours in a month as most, but I jam it into 2 weeks.
Well I'm generally an early bird so I don't like to sit around when I wake up, so I go for a swim or a run... and we have a gym built into where I work so I have no excuse but to go every evening as it's right underneath me
Wow, your job sounds difficult... both physically and mentally draining! Must be hard being away from home for so long? It must be a Canadian thing because my Dad is Canadian and he basically does 12 months work in 6 months... he works away from home, on oil rigs in the middle of the ocean for like 12 hours a day and he's out there for a month at a time! Sounds pretty similar to what you do
