It's my 18th in a week and two days and I go away on Camp with my Squadron in one day and 2 weeks and I go flying on Sunday, I am content with this month

I am truly thinking about one's own "end" in this world for some odd reason. It is ironic at times I suppose. Most go through life trying to avoid the "Grim Reaper" and rightfully so. Life is worthing living, however, I have been waiting for "it" in a sense. Not looking to die though. Just not expecting to live that long I suppose.

Well it's mainly when some tragedy happens, such as 9/11 or the situation in Japan right now, it just gets me thinking how easily something terrible could happen to me and my loved ones, it's as simple as being in the wrong place at the wrong time.

Very true, though it is a specific tragedy that triggers my thoughts. One often wonders why things happened how the did in a sense. Why me? Why did I survive? I suppose that is what my trip is all about though. I get a chance to clear my mind and "lose it" in a sense. So many trips to that cabin up in the mountains. Temporary solutions are better than none at all I suppose.
