What Are You Doing For Bonfire Night?

I see no reason why Gunpowder Treason should ever be forgot.

So what are you doing for it? (those of you who celebrate it) On the night I'm off to a pub up the road who are having a bonfire, fireworks, yard of ale competition, traditional food and drink and games for the kiddies. That is as long as it dosen't pour down which it's supposed to tomorrow night, pointless going to a wash out. Supposed to be dry enough on Sunday night and I'll be going to a huge bonfire and display at the town park, literally across the road from me. Free one, 20 grands worth of fireworks and probably abpout 20,000 people there, can't go wrong.:thumbup

I've got myself a fine set of fireworks, can't be bothered going anywhere. Hmm the neighbours are probably having a barbecue, might go there.

Well we have no garden so can't set any fireworks off and I've looked online but I can't find any displays in the nearby area

So we'll just stare out the windows and hope to see something! Immy is excited; she loved the fireworks last year.

Cracker night here was always on the Queens birthday holiday weekend......in June

Now they're banned and you can only watch organised displays. Or buy fireworks on the black market in the A.C.T

There's a fireworks display in my town centre tomorrow night but it's also my partner's birthday, so we may or may not go depending on what he feels like.


More likely, we might get takeaway and watch Lost :ninja

This time last year I was on the plane flying out here to Canada, so this really feels like the first year I haven't been able to celebrate Bonfire Night! I miss it so much!! Also, as it's a year to this date I came out here, my fiance and I wanted to celebrate it as some small anniversary however, he's in work! So I'm celebrating bonfire night/small anniversary on my own!

Sick of hearing all my friends and family back in the UK talk about their plans!!

Awww you mean Guy Fawkes Night.. My ex used to talk about this when she first got to Canada and we got together..
