What are these "tokenz"

After I posted the first time, I noticed it said that I had some tokenz. What are these tokenz and what are they used for? I cannot seem to find any information the the FAQ or by searching the forums. Is it just something to show user's ranks?

You earn tokenz for posting and repping, you need them for PMing and editing your posts

Also it costs tokens to send a PM....not a big deal though as every post accumulates tokens.

Thanks for this, I was also curious on what tokenz could be used for. I think it's a neat idea, especially since you are earning tokenz for each post and topic you start.

Well I've been here awhile and still don't know exactly how they work. If you click on Currency up top, what does the Savings number mean?

As you collect tokenz ,you can transfer some to a savings account.

Why would you need to do that? What's the benefit?

i'm guessing , if you put them into saving they will stay there. If you over spend your regular account you won't pull your savings down.

you know most of the folks with big savings , got the tokenz from a member who was leaving and transferred them some.

also giving another member a reputation , get you 100 tokens. The more reps you give the more tokens you earn.
