I heard today it's 5 dollars in Illinois. Unsure about that... but still, how are your prices looking? Last I checked it was 2.98 for regular here.

when oil hit nearly $100 a barrel a lot of people in the States said the government should tap into the Alaskan pipe line....gee...wonder what their stance is now? then Katrina came and made prices worse. then there was the reprieve that prices down to almost $1.50 a gallon, but that quickly dissipated....its sad how much we do rely on this commodity and it could almost make you penniless in just getting some fuel. with higher prices means higher transportation costs and then food prices get crazy again...

over here if the price of a barrel goes up the cost at the pump goes up,but when a barrel goes down the pump prices stay the same

When the gas prices starting climbing..... so did heating costs for the home. I only have propane as a choice out here in the boonies. That's why we put in a woodburning stove and now heat the house strictly with wood. I still use propane for the stove, dryer, and water heater.

Strange thing about the price of wood.... It's the same cost for a facecord in this area as it was 20 years ago! I guess nobody owns trees yet as far as governments.
