A few weeks back a buddy (well, a guy I know. Can't call him a buddy anymore) borrowed some money off me. He said he was down on his luck and needed some cash to get some bills paid and such. Anyway, being the guy I am I gave him $50. No big deal. Well, I have seen him around hanging out at the bar and such and come to find out he owes a lot of people. I never really approached him about the money as I figured he would come through and pay his debt.

I figured hell I got off pretty cheap. It cost me $50 to get rid of him as to where others gave him more than that.

So just a few minutes ago my phone rings and he is on the other line and he says he is sitting at the bar and asked if I could come down and give him some money as no one will buy him a drink. I told him HELL NO!! I said if you were down on your luck you would be trying to find a way to pay off your debt that you owe to people. I am not really worried about my money he owes me, but it is wrong for him to be sitting in a bar drinking when he knows that the people sitting next to him are the people he owes money to. Like I said if it only cost me $50 to get rid of him I am happy.

I can't believe the way people treat other people. Does this man not have a conscience? I have never asked anyone for any money not even my parents. I am pretty financially stable, but what I am getting at is if I owed money to someone the last place I would be is at a bar. If I can't go in with money then I don't have any business being there in the first place.

And no this guy is not a cowboy. A cowboy wouldn't do another that way. Well, the cowboys I know anyway.
