The book is about how to make good arguments. I took it in Philosophy when we were talking about truths. It was a class to take for the LSAT.

It talks about degrees of truth and the dangers of generalization!!!

LOL - are you using this for school? Because if so I think you missed the point!

What do you mean by example but? It says it was a sampling of their beliefs about science and the paranormal, and they had numbers at the end in index type like a reference?

LOL - are you using this for school? Because if so I think you missed the point!

It was for my Logical Thinking Intro class last year. I posted it because I found it interesting, as I find most scientific things.
What is the point then? :unsure:

But hold on, look in the summary, page 490, point number one, last line. They weren't using it as an example, they were serious lol.
The line says:
"Yet surveys show that a large percentage of Americans know distressingly little about science or its methods and values".
Am I still missing something?
