So, I dragged Matt with me to the commissary. (Or is it drug?)
Anyhow, we were going to get everything for Thanksgiving since I can get it cheaper than Momma can and it's less for them to travel with.
Well, I didn't beat the church crowd like I planned on. In fact, I'm sure there was a lot of empty space in church today. The line did its zig-zag thing, went the length of the front of the store, lined the side, lined the back and then went back up the other side. And we're talking the commissary is HUGE, y'all!! It was ridiculous! And no one had little buggies either. Oh no, they were all over-flowing. And then of course there were women with a buggy in front of them and a buggy in back, both over flowing. It was RIDICULOUS beyond ridiculous. So we put our two cans of cranberries and our thing of French's fried onions back and said "tomorrow".
I guess I'll be getting up tomorrow bright and early so I can get there when they open. And I'll be crossing my fingers that they still have what I need.
Although, according to some of Momma's stories (namely Puerto Rico), what I witnessed today was NOTHING compared to what it could have been.
