mri's are expensive. I had my knee done and it cost me over 3000 dollars!!!! I didnt have insurance at the time either. I think they tried to fuck me lol...

Good luck with the shoulder. I hope everything turns out ok. My dad just had that surgery to reconstruct his shoulder and its painful.

That does not sound very good at all, Bacon - hope you'll be ok! I know, those things are damn expensive especially when you don't have health insurance. My health insurance is full of it though - they're always just trying to fuck us!

get used to that if they put you in one of those restrictive shoulder straps like i had to wear

I messed my shoulder up really badly in high school, but those Doctors are full of shit. That was like round 3 of doctors being full of it in my life.
They said it would be a life injury, and blah blah about needing medicines for years, injection therapies (and once i started that I would have mostly had to keep doing it for 20 years then I'd have to get surgery), and so on

I did take the pain medicine for 6 months kept my arm in the sling as much I possibly could. I wanted to give everything a chance to heal and recover
but moved it enough I didn't let my arm get deformed hehe

then about a year later i started very minor chores, then months later push ups, months later pull ups, ect

now I can use my boflex just fine.

Depending on what the problem is you just have to give yourself enough time.

I dont know what service your in but be careful with the limdu shit. I Had surgury on my ankle a couple years back and it put me on the shelf all told about 2 years. In the MarineCorps your only allowed 16 months limdu for your 20 years. If I get hurt again...Im gone if they want to go by the book.

i had a MRI before. i think i had it on my head. im not sure if thats where i had it tho cause i also had a cat scan also. :dunno

i still have a problem with my shoulder from an accident from when i worked at walmart as a teen. i worked in the garden center and a customer had 10 bags of 50 lbs of rocks on a cart type thing. well the wind blew it in the parking lot and started rolling torwards the cars so i ran after if and grabbed the handle and try to stop it from hitting the cars and pulled my shoulder really bad . i ended up stopping it from hitting the cars. hurt like a bitch. so they sent me to the hospital to get it fixed. well it still pops today. it dont hurt at all anymore but when i move my arm it make this cracking sound like cracking your knuckles. really annoying.

but good luck bacon.

Good luck with that, Bacon. My ex recently had surgery on his elbow...and while he still hurts from it, he has regained his flexibility moreso than before it was corrected. He says the pain is better now than it was before, as well. I think it's all relative to the individual and their pain tolerance.

As for those not in the military, if you have insurance, you can bargain the prices down for your MRIs. I've had enough of them taken lately, and they've completely dropped any of my amounts that I would have been responsible for after insurance.

Those of you without...I would suggest looking into obtaining private insurance in your home states. Texas actually has pretty decent programs. I'm just thankful the ex provides my insurance still. *smiles*

Hey Haus...did that MRI nuke the little hamsters on the wheel up there? LMAO

Marine: "Doc, I got hit by a mortar. I can't see or hear, my legs are gone, and I'm shredded by shrapnel!"

Doc: "Don't worry I have Motrin!"
