I just got back from buying the boys new shoes for school. I spend $105 dollars!!! I cant believe how expensive shoes are nowadays. Joe is a snob about shoes, so I had to get them both nike's. :(

Now, we are fixing to go to WILD ADVENTURES. (as soon as heather gets home!) :)

Anyways, WHY are shoes so expensive?? Anyone know?

I know.. See, joe (and myself) never had nike's growing up. We had pass me down shoes (goodwill) SOOO, Joe wants better for the kids. He doesnt want them to go without the fundamental stuff.

Yeah I understand that, and I'm going to be the same way with my kids because I always wore hand me downs, but new balance (as far as quality and comfort) is so much better IMO.

I've had the same pair of New balance shoes for a year now and they're almost getting ready to get replaced.

Where as, once I got a job I bought the stuff I couldn't growing up. I got nikes and wore em for 8 months. The sole actually fell off one of the shoes.

Ive had the same nike's for about a year and a half. They still look brand new, but I dont wear them alot. lol. Maybe once or twice a week. I bought austin some new balance last time, but they were gray and didnt look clean enough even with washing. :dunno Nike's last a year with the boys.. mostly they just grow out of them, then i give them to someone else (sister's kids) They still look clean and new so its all good.

I normally dont buy nike's for jacob, but since he starts school this year (in 2 weeks) he needs some sneakers.

You wash shoes??!?

I have a pair of sandles, a pair of work shoes, and a pair of going out to pary shoes.

I've had both pairs of shoes since last July/August or so. They both still do the job, but I'm noticing more rocks getting into the work shoes when I walk across stone lots.

Try buying shoes for a pre-teen whose feet have grown 5 sizes in 2 years. Talk about spending $$$$$$$$ on shoes, for a short period of time she was wearing my size, so no big deal, I just kept the shoes she outgrew, now she's 10 1/2 years old wearing a size 8 1/2 shoe (2 sizes bigger than me) I don't even have anyone to pass them to in order to justify the expense!

Their real comfortable and easy on the feet. I spent $99 on them. I didnt want to spend that kind of money, but, I thought since Im on my feet 12 hrs at work, I might as well.
Mine kinda look like that 1st pic Haus posted except mine dont have the backs on them. Like slip ons. They are white with pink on the bottom.
