are you pentecostal or Mormon or something?

what about the po vault - however you spell it

No??? Why would you say that? :24:

I'm a realist. Pole vault takes upper body strength, which, owing to our boobs, we don't have.

Womens' pole vault record:

Pole Vault5.05 | 16-6.75Yelena Isinbayeva (Russia)Beijing, China8/18/08

Mens' pole vault record: Pole Vault6.13 | 20-1.25Sergey Bubka (Ukraine)Tokyo, Japan9/19/92

Our inability to compete with men head on is why is matters if that track lady is not a lady.

oh! what about equestrian sports?

or synchronized swimming? i don't think they are even allowed to do that!

Equestrian events are really the horse doing the athletic stuff. They only record records in number of medals won, not how well the human did.

You are correct, men do not compete in synchronized swimming which has little to do with athletic performance since it is the precision that is being judged. It is not a, strictly speaking, an athletically competitive event. I guess we could be better at that if they did compete. So possibly you found one event at which we are better.

are you kidding me? have you ever done any english riding? its a ton of work, especially when it comes to jumps, etc.

and synchronized swimmers aren't exactly fat.

and there are some events in gymnastics that men don't do.

what about ping pong tennis? can women compete against men in that?

I don't know if women can compete against men in ping pong and as I said before, there isn't parity in gymnatics so that women and men can be judged equally.

I think we've drifted far from your original questions:

does it really matter???

why can't men and women compete together?

Looking at world records, men out run, jump, throw and swim us. I think if we looked at skiing and such, the same would be true. Individually, women can compete against some men, but we cannot compete, our best against their best.

It's just the way it is.

margene I have to admit something

I really don't care either way - I was just seeing how far you would take this and your reasearch to prove your point

it was really fun to see you go and find the records to compare

sorry. it gave me something to do last night.

:) I only take a position when I can support it. Once taken, I defend it! :)

Google, makes that easy. .017 second search, voila! Otherwise I would have dropped it or never taken the position.

:24: I left before you got to ping pong, but that was funny when I saw it this morning. :)
