This was at about 230 this afternoon...
I live in Visalia... that red outline above it was where a strong storm rotation was spotted on radar. A strong rotation indicates tornado activity... that's about 8 miles north of where I was at the time. There were a few funnel clouds spotted in town as well, though none of them touched down. Oh, and we had marble-sized hail for a while, tons of rain, and a whole helluva lot of lightning and thunder. Now I realize that stuff like that is pretty common around the states... but in Central California, it's pretty rare. This would have been a moderate storm when I lived in San Antonio (I even saw a tornado touch down there), but it was a huge deal around here.
