This was at about 230 this afternoon...

I live in Visalia... that red outline above it was where a strong storm rotation was spotted on radar. A strong rotation indicates tornado activity... that's about 8 miles north of where I was at the time. There were a few funnel clouds spotted in town as well, though none of them touched down. Oh, and we had marble-sized hail for a while, tons of rain, and a whole helluva lot of lightning and thunder. Now I realize that stuff like that is pretty common around the states... but in Central California, it's pretty rare. This would have been a moderate storm when I lived in San Antonio (I even saw a tornado touch down there), but it was a huge deal around here.

Oh, and when I got back to my house, I discovered that half my street is flooded to the west of me... and there was a bush that got damaged and wouldn't let me close my garage door. I went looking around for some loppers... which I thought I had, but I ended up settling for pruning with my tin snips. :24:

We had 2 days of winds bad enough to snap power poles and trees. Five local brush fires from wires arcing kept firefighters busy. Today we had snow covering the ground in the morning and even after it melted we have been getting lake squalls all day. Temp has been jumping all over the place as well. Will have another night of freezing temps and hopefully some more rain to wet things down and lower the fire danger.

Haha. Yeah, us white people don't go to *that* London. Not unless you want to die. It's just an unincorporated area that's full of well... Undocumented Mexicans and people of an unsavory nature. Note... So I don't come off as racist here, those two things aren't mutually exclusive.

Seriously??? I'm ahead of you now? I'm working on season 10. Should finish this weekend. Warning: season 8 SUCKS. But if you weather that storm seasons 9 and 10 are MUCH better.
