no we didn't fight them on the beaches
we'll fight them on the landing grounds
we'll fight them in the fields and streets
we'll fight them in the hills

we did none of these because we fought them in the air.a few brave souls consisting of pilots from britain,the commonwealth and eastern europe defied all of the odds and put untold hurt on the might of the luftwaffe..all are true legends who will never be forgotten,they saved our lands

then we took the fight to the enemy,with the help of our friends from across the atlantic and around the world,real men the lot of them

they could see the machine gun bunkers on the beaches but still they went,such selfless actions should never be forgotten

they had stukas raining bombs down on them but still they went,such selfless actions should never be forgotten

the merchant seamen supplied britain with vital supplies,often sunk....we needed them to survive.....such selfless actions should never be forgotten

i thank all of you brave souls for the freedoms i have today,good show boys and a job well done
