Im sure that alot of you guys have heard of that prescription called Mirapex that is for restless leg syndrome on the commericals on TV. After hearing some of the side effects of the medicine, Im just glad I dont have restless leg syndrome. Some of the side effects are Gambling and Excessive shopping! :willy_nilly: I'd be in a heap of trouble if I had those kind of side effects. Drugs release chemicals into the blood stream, which deliver them to the brain .. certain brain functions control differnt body performances .. if you repress one you may trigger another that resides losely by .. all these "Wonder" drugs they are pumping into the market as of late .. I don't like it a little bit.

I think they ar eover doing it by a LONG shot.
 
My husband went to the Dr yesterday because he has had a chest cold and severe neck pain for over a week. The dr gave him some antibiotics and gave him some Valium for his neck pain. I thought that was kind of weird.
He took 1 Valium yesterday and he was in lala land. It was quite funny. He was definately dazed and confused. lol
 
I would assume to get Flexoril .. Valium seems a bit extreme to me as well.

Valium (diazepam) is used to relieve anxiety, nervousness, and tension associated with anxiety disorders. It is also used to treat certain types of seizure disorders and muscle spasms.

I would think that would be something to try after the nrmal choices didn't work.

:homo: exactly my thoughts too. Not too mention that he gave him hyrdocodone as well. This Dr gave him enough medicine to keep him doped up and only over neck pain. No wonder there are so many overdoses, if people can get ahold of medicine that easily from their drs

:24: thats kinda what I asked him when he got home. I asked him what kind of sob story he gave the dr.
Last time I went to the dr for neck and ear pain (which was like 4 yrs ago, and it ended up being because of my wisdom teeth coming in) the Dr told me to take Ibuprofen and that was it!

My mom takes this but her only major side effect is sleepiness. We were hoping she'd have the gambling one and making us lots of money.
