Me and Zorak took Imogen to the park. Tonight I'm taking Zorak out for dinner and spending all my money on him cos I'm just that nice.

That's what I did/am doing, but am watching the football in between and reading and trying to fix some rather sickly laptops.

Right now I'm scrambling to finish typing one paper, then I'm going to start on my last (thank GOD!!) paper that's due tomorrow evening at 11:45.


We were going to cook on the grill tonight with our neighbors but the weather is crazy right now, 50mph winds, hail, tornadoes :willy_nilly:

Well my hockey isn't really going the way I expected it to, so I might as well be watching golf or curling. :yuk

I'm a day late and a dollar short but Friday I went to a cookout at work for National Telecommunicator's week and then I worked a SWAT detail for 5 hours. Then I went out w/ my bestfriend and her wife to see a band called Almost Kings play...lots of fun!!! Saturday I got up early and did a 5K where I set a personal record AND placed 3rd in my age category (mom placed 2nd in hers). After that I went back home, packed up, and headed to Savannah for the weekend. Saturday night we had dinner out at Uncle Bubba's w/ a friend of my mom's (it was for my mom's birthday which was last weekend but I had to work so we had to wait until now to celebrate) and then we went back to the hotel and hit the pool and then the fitness room (literally 3 weight machines, a spinning machine, and a treadmill) where I only put in 10 minutes on the spinning machine since someone was already on the treadmill. Tanked early b/c I was so frigging tired. Sunday we got up early and headed out to River St and walked up and down it for a few hours, toured The Peacemaker (shrimping boat), and then went to Chippewa Square and finally saw where the famous Forrest Gump bench used to sit. Headed out to the beach at Tybee Island and walked on the beach for a couple of hours, did a little shopping, and then headed home after grabbing some Starbucks to help me make it through the drive home. Nice relaxing weekend despite the speeding ticket I got Saturday morning on my way to the 5K.

It DOES when I read it all...but it really wasn't once I got the 5K and the driving over and done on Saturday. It was all worth it to get to spend a couple of hours walking on the beach Sunday. I'd do that everyday and every night if I could!!!
