well that's not really the point of my post. preservatives just keep the product on the shelf longer so it can be sold. Oh and brew away, it's been legal for decades.

I'm basically agreeing that it needs to be legalized in small amounts (Denver has it right).

I know what preservatives do for food, but I don't think its not good for people to consume. All these chemicals are not natural. This is probably where cancer, Alzheimer's, down syndrome etc. come from dood.

Wheat comes from the ground, which is then used to brew alcohol. Alcohol isn't illegal, but the consequences of driving under it's influence is.

If they made pot laws along these guidelines I wouldn't mind, but the point is pot is a mind altering drug, just like anything else defined as a controlled substance.
i think the world today needs mind altering drugs more then ever so people can maybe forget how fucked up the world really is.;)

Pretty much every point I would make has already been made. Marijana and some of the other organic drugs like 'shrooms and peyote are far less dangerous than alcohol.

I'd like to see them actually move beyond decriminalization and make it a legitimate good. Then people wouldn't have to worry about tainted products (as Pete already stated, I believe,) supply would be less erratic (those huge op. busts can dry a community out pretty good,) police forces would actually be able to allocate resources to important projects, and the government would make a killing in tax revenue from producers and consumers.
