My little Brother is getting married on Saturday, and I need gift ideas.

He's 21, a Soldier, and his wife is 20, and a snob born with a silver spoon in her mouth.

They have a small apartment off post, and have most of the stuff they "need" such as a blender, microwave, etc.

Should I just give them money?

I always think money is best, but I know a lot of others think it is tacky. What normal people don't need money? lol

I think cash is ok. Let them get something they want/need.

I have a friend that just had her 15th wedding anniversary. She had a yard sale because she bought a new home and most of the stuff she was trying to get rid of were wedding presents, still in their original boxes!

She was so nervous that friends would remember what they gave her and they'd get pissy over it...but she was ok, no one said anything to her anyway.

Cash is the way to go, if you ask me.

Think about it: what would you rather? A lime green and purple salad bowl set or $50?

I'm going to give them cash. A few hundred bucks will do a young newly married couple better than a green and purple salad bowl. :D

When I got married the best gift we got was gift cards to like hardware stores or wal mart. We liked going out and using the gift cards towards things that we wanted/needed.

Maybe some W-D 40, she really needs to get that silver spoon out of her mouth, must be bothersome ;)

I say cash or a gift card also (walmart or maybe somewhere for dinner that you know they like to go and might not normally spend the money otherwise) , that way they can get what they need or spend a nice night out since they are pretty much set and they have already established a household.
