But why does this not get the press coverage that Martin's case got? I think we can all agree that this case is far worse.

Well, look at the thread here about Martin
Well, look at the thread here about Martin. Pages and pages of discussion about what allegedly happened. Whereas while this is sad, there's no real controversy or debate to be had. It's not that it isn't arguably a worse thing to happen - though tell that to the family of the boy who was shot, it's all about perspective - it's just not an interesting story.
I agree.
People only seem to talk about things at length when they can push their opinions and banter back and forth.
There's no opinion here to push, it's a dead end tragic case of 'wow people are fucked up, that's awful, hope he pays'. There's little else to say about it.
I think Martin's youth is another factor in the media attention. Elder violence never gets the kind of press violence against youth does. If this couple were in a minority demographic I still don't think it would get attention like Martin's case.
What are y'all talking about? This could turn into a great death penalty debate thread....
so if Tyrone Woodfork is sent to death row for this and will it reduce the liklelihood that a future George Zimmerman will think twice before standing his ground, or will it even cast a seconds doubt in the mind of the next fucked up kid to repeat what Woodfork has doneWhat are y'all talking about? This could turn into a great death penalty debate thread....
Damn - some people are just dense it seems. The Martin case is getting the attention because Zimmerman walked away scot-free without ever being arrested. Martins parents felt this was wrong because there were too many unanswered questions and the Sanford PD and the prosecutor gave the impression they were going to sweep the entire issue under the rug.
