Washer/Dryer Question

My washer, or something against my little laundry closet, is gurgling. I haven't done laundry today, and there's nothing, not even water, in the wash.

My question is- there's a silver hose going through my ceiling into the apt above me. That's for the dryer, correct? Or should I be watching for the ceiling to come crashing down?

the drain lines of apts are connected,..as are the vents usually..so what you are hearing is more than likely your neighbors...









unless of course something is trying to make its way back up the drain,...if thats the case....RUN!!!

That's what it sounds like.

I hate living here... It's been several weeks since my washer leaked, I'm due another go 'round. That makes me scared to do laundry now.

I think if it happens again I'll ask my maintenance buddy to push for a new washer for me. Maybe one that's actually full sized, like the bigger apartments have.
