What type of people make up these events? I'd imagine that most companies would look down upon such organizing on ones day off or calling out to do so... i'm not saying it's wrong, but what kind of time do these folks have on their hands? This is an honest question and not made to sound like I'm being an asshole. This thread was sparked by Nature's Path's recent Facebook feed that they will be walking from NYC to DC to defend the labeling of "Non GMO" products and with the recent occupations of Denver and Wall Street.

I think, depending on the protest, it can draw all kinds of people. Look at New York right now. You have 'those hippie types' all the way to seniors who are fed up with seeing everything they worked for be pissed away through no fault of their own with none of the doers seeing any criminal charges, but instead bailed out by our government on our dime & IOU and enjoying massive bonuses.

I was so angry that I was actually going to take time and go to a tea party rally. That we before I found out Sara Palin was going to be a speaker at another Tea Party event. Those bastards (Tea Party) even made me take my Gadsden flag off my truck because I didn't want people to associate me with them.

The TEA Party was a corporate conception from the beginning. It was started with Rick Santelli's rant on the floor of the Chicago Mercantile Exchange. Santelli was bitching about the homeowners that were getting forclosed on - not the frigging banks that wrote the toxic loans, and then turned them into toxic securities that went into our 401K's.

I'm sorry, but most American's are fucking ignorant - most are clueless and don't care as long as they have enough money left over on payday for a 12-pack and a pizza, or they are establishment conservobot apologists that joined this TP movement that was started against the victims of the bank fraud!!! People just knee-jerk joined - and some like my cyber buddy Joe had sense enough to realize that when that bimbo Palin became the spokesperson for the movement it was bogus. Freedomworks and all the other front organizations were working behind the scenes from day one. It was never grass roots.

Occupy Wall Street is something we all need to get behind and support. The corporate right wing conservobots are going into full panic mode and have become hysterically vitriolic - that alone ought to give anyone halfway awake a clue as to the legitimacy of this movement.

The horse and carriage has come full circle again.

How people couldn't figure out what was going on when some "Republicans" got involved is beyond me.

Cyber buddy? What about the phone sex?:bates:

Yeah - I figured it was your attempt at being clever. Fail.

Enjoy your earnings. :)
