walking the dogs..filthy animals

I would be in group A. I spend hours and hours taking care of my dogs. They make me happy. I hate being away from them. And as far as children go, they are as close as I ever plan to having any. So if you mess with my dogs, you better bet I am going to react like a momma would with her child. Warped? Perhaps. But I wouldn't have it any other way.

My kids could beat up your dogs

You are probably right. My dogs are trained better than that. :jk

I really don't mean to offend anyone with children. How dare I compare my animals with your babies! But you have to understand...they are my babies. I love them dearly.

lol I was just buggin. I don't have kids yet.

But yeah, dogs become a part of the family. And noone likes bad things happening to family members

I had a wolf hybrid once. She was 20% timber wolf and 80% German Sheppard. She was black, white and gray very pretty dog. She was a very good family dog and very smart. I would get another one if I ever had the chance.

I want one so bad. But my work schedule wouldn't really permit it. I am gone for 10 days at a time so I will have to wait awhile unfortunately.

They are awesome though

It's not a matter of offending anyone.

So if one of your "babies" was in the middle of the road and a real baby was next to him, which would you save first if a car was coming?
That's what I'm talking about. It's not about "my" children. It's the fact that all human life is more precious than a dogs life, especially when we are talking about a child. I wouldn't hesitate to sacrifice the life of my dog for a random child. :dunno

Dogs are nothing like children, not even close.

I disagree. Dogs are people too. Our dearly departed furbaby was my baby until I had a real baby and then she was still my baby. PBBB's older sister :cool We miss her. We're thinking of getting another furbaby this summer.

My sister would say your words are fighting words. She has no kids, but she has furbabies. They are quite spoiled. To the extent of birthday parties. I've never gone that far, but her animals are indeed her children.

Yes, I'd have killed my dog had she gone after the brat. But it never happened cuz we raised her to be human.

I see your point but I feel like you took what I said to the extreme. My initial post was describing how I would react if someone mistreated/said something about my dogs not about choosing animals over humans.

I said dogs are like children. I didn't say that they were children. I think everyone can agree that dogs and children have a lot in common.
