So long as it is taxed
So long as it is regulated

I see few problems with it being legalized. The majorproblem i see with this happening, is that the same monopoly and industry issues as there is with tobacco. Companies trying tolure younger kids, not disclosing the full risks with smoking it ( yes i know most peple know the risks, but most people isnt everyone).

Tobacco is just as bad, its just that as a society we have been desensitized from it, and lets not get into alcohol! thats far worse of an addiction than someone wanting marijuana, yes because it is regulated and taxed (like cigarrettes) we are all ok with them.

Dunno what i's like in the US but over here they advertise us to tears abut how bad alcohol and tobacco is, half the tobacco pouch is telling you, you will die from this! If everyone has the information, it's their choice imo.

It is your choice, just don't ask everyone else to subsidize your medical bills via the insurance companies.

Its illegal for its short term risk factors. Should it be legalized? I believe so, I believe it would alleviate a ton of stress on people who already smoke it, it would also probably make teens less likely to smoke it. I dont understand the logic of allowing Cigars or cigerettes being legal, which causes lung damage over a long term, or abundances of alcohol which can cause death and obviously lead to drunk driving.

I guess the short term effects of weed are more drastic than a beer, but I believe eventually it will be legalized.

If its legal to kill my liver and lungs, then I should have the option to have it adversly effect my brain. Its funny how the only things you're allowed to kill yourself with are the ones that are only able to be manufactured by big companies and controled and taxed by the government. We care about you smoking weed! It could kill you! Now, buy a side arm! Its legal to carry in AZ!!! Dont drink and drive while partaking of this legal dangerous substance!! And dont forget to grab a pack of smokes on your way to the bar! And smoke with friends! Second hand gives you cancer faster! Did we mention we care about your well being? Its bullshit. Only reason they havent legalized it, is cause they're still trying to find out how to control and tax the shit. I say roll that mother fucker up after a hard day and play some vids. Anything less is unfuckincivilized. Got dammit. *kicks a rock*

Well, obviously weed can cause probs in the mentality department! But so can alcohol...and being married!
So, i see no reason why not! Let the whole world go to pot! (excuse the pun)..Though ive never "really" been a smoker, but when i have "tried" weed, ive been a bubbling mess of giggles! Most annoying to the others who where just trying 2 "chill" out!
But hey...if it makes you happy? It cant be that bad!

Just take a look at holland and the general dutch, they got the right idea years back they have a close knit community and a lower crime rate than a lot of other countries. In fact from going there the only yobs i saw were holidaymakers who had no previous experience of the place and so made complete fools of themselves and ruining it for the locals!

I don't think it should be, not only because it can give you brain damage. Weed is like the "gateway" drug, you do it and then you get into ecstasy, and then heroin.... and it goes on until your a full blown meth addict. Not saying this happens to all people, or even most that use it. But, that's because they are older and have more reason. If we legalized the drug, many more youths would start using it, and those are the ones who get into other drugs because of it. So as I don't have huge problems with people using weed, I don't think it should be legalized.

So how do you feel about much harder drugs like alcohol being legal then?

Alcohol, when not abused has benefits to someone's health. And if you only drink, say a glass of wine, you are not affected by it. Whereas weed has no benefit no matter how little or how much you smoke. Not to mention that even one hit has an immediate affect, unless you're a hard core smoker.

I don't think it should be legalized because it would create too much of a mess. They'd have to come up with an age limit, amount limit, rules, people to enforce the rules, blah blah blah.

They'll never come up with significant proof to show that there is a benefit to society by legalizing it. So don't hold your breath on it every being legalized.
