so, im to believe that only half of what i see of him is there, thus removing half of the speech portion... so how is it that im not supposed to believe all of what the sales person said, if he only has half of it left to speak?

Exactly, the tricky part is knowing if the half you see is and the half you hear are the samee, bcse the half you hear could be the half that would be lying and hence then you can only believe the half you see.
