Actually, my intention was to have you explain why you judged the admitted picture to be within the criteria of the challenge. For instance, I see more than 5 distinct water droplets in that picture.

Whilst I understand your need for answers, it serves no good to publicly drag this out even further. The OTz public at large obviously don't like the rose picture as much as the others and frankly, it's hard to see any picture that would outdo the ant picture (which is pretty darn good), accepted or not.

Just as in Formula 1 (the overall theme of this challenge) - the stewards have inquiries as to questionable moves by drivers, in this case Francis has made his decision regarding the pictures. Please accept it and move on.

There is not much longer before the end of the competition. It would be nice to end it on a nice note rather than manufactured drama.

I know it doesn't make any difference now since the entries are up there and that's it, but I do want to note that I'm as puzzled as Shan. Just the water drops in the rose petal picture make up more than three items.

LOL at "manufactured drama"... my intention wasn't to create drama, I'm just someone who speaks her mind when she feels wronged.

If there was just rationale, it would have been provided. Clearly there wasn't. At least I'm satisfied that my picture was treated unfairly and will have no problem sitting out the rest of the league.

The simple answer is I saw them as traces where the drop(s) would have passed, hence as a water trace or wet spot. The bigger drop being at the bottom..

I hope this answers your question and finally puts this to rest.

I'm with acctnt shan. Based on how her photo was judged (and mine, for that matter), photo #3 should not have been allowed either. There are at least 6 separate water drops plus the petal and the background. *does some math* HEY! That's more than three! :eek

Yup, I think he hates me for giving him such a hard round. Had I known it would have turned out like it has given the comments, I would have picked a simpler round instead that a) would be easier for people to get a picture in of and b) reduce the moaning. Anyway, that's by the by - voting is almost over in this round and the end of the league is within sight.
