Voter Turnouts

How are the turnouts at your precincts?

At mine, it looks like it might be a record turnout. A very long line but seemed to move relatively quick.
I even noticed a larger than usual turnout of the elderly with the majority of the line being middle aged.
It was 9:40 when I voted, but there were hardly any 20 somethings in line as I left.... unlike the last Presidential election.

What are you guys seeing?

I moved so had to go to a different precint

So I have no idea how busy is normal there

I know one guy at work said there was a decent line up at his precint

Also we had a two sided ballot with tons of judges and 8 issues to vote on so that makes it a slower process

I have a feeling this is going to be a long drawn out affair with lots of shenanigans claimed by both sides with regards to the absentee ballots.

They should have voting on a weekend and make it tougher to vote absentee. No more early voting either.

Wife and i voted at 11:15 and were the only ones there. We were #84 and 85 and the old gals who work the registers and give the ballots said that is a heavy turnout. We are out in the sticks and only have one machine with 2 curtain booths to fill out the card. No local elections here so it was all state and federal.

i don't know what number i was but around 3pm i walked straight in and back out no wait at all....last year i went around lunch time and i stood in line for about 45 min...but we have had a record turnout for early voting so it may be why lines are shorter and quicker....

No more early voting either.

I'm just curious why you don't like early voting...

I think it would be nice to have voting for a full week so you can make sure everyone gets a chance without needing to take off or miss work.

The wife and I were voters #1000 and #1001 at 1pm in our township. That's considered very good turnout for the time it was. They said it was long lines early in the day but we only waited 5 minutes. The big rush is 5pm and later at here.

What I don't get is why a citizen can vote at any polling place during early voting, but has to go to one specific place on election day. That makes no sense to me.
