Thank you for those words... you made me cry again ♥

I apologize for making you cry, Willow.

Just remember, the memories are what keep us close to ones we love.

There is no shame in showing how you feel either.

Willow I know exactly how you feel. I lost my buddy " Barney " the monster sized cat after just about 15 years. That was ions ago and I still miss him. From one pet person to another I offer you my condolences. Although the memories will always be there along with the sadness it will get easier as time passes.

Thank you for your words Guy.. they mean a lot to me. The memories always stay in our minds and hearts, and the sadness does fade with time..
After all these years, I am used to loosing them, but when is unexpected like now, it makes it more of a heartbreaker..

Thank you... *hugs back*
I know how it feels, I went through something like it when my Dobbie died.. I was driving her to the emergency vet and there was nothing I could do.. :(

Last night was worse, because it was after midnight, I was alone, and it happened in just few minutes from beginning to end... :(

I'm sorry to hear that, I've been through it with dogs, it really is like losing one of the family.

There is a bridge connecting Heaven and Earth.
It is called the Rainbow Bridge because of all its beautiful colors.
Just this side of the Rainbow Bridge there is a land of meadows,
hills and valleys with lush green grass.
When a beloved pet dies, the pet goes to this place.
There is always food and water and warm spring weather.
The old and frail animals are young again.
Those who were sick, hurt or in pain are made whole again.
There is only one thing missing,
they are not with their special person who loved them so much on earth.
So each day they run and play until the day comes
when one suddenly stops playing and looks up!
The nose twitches! The ears are up!
The eyes are staring and this one runs from the group!
You have been seen and when you and your special friend meet,
you take him in your arms and hug him.
He licks and kisses your face again and again -
and you look once more into the eyes of your best friend and trusting
pet.
Then you cross the Rainbow Bridge together never again to be apart.

awwww I"m so sorry for your loss Willow. We get so attached to out pets, they become members of our families really. I know that my Lucy is like my baby and I'd be so very upset if something bad should ever happen to her. My heart goes out to you sweety.....xxxx

Thank you for your understanding sweetie.
If you need any help at all or have questions, don't hesitate to ask me... I will give you as much info as I can..
Besides my 20 year old, I have three that have disabilities, and are 17, 16 and 15 years old , plus another 7 year old that has a heart condition and needs medication twice a day..
Sixteen is pretty advanced, but with care and patience, you will be able to make his last years easier.

I lost a deaf cat about a year ago. He was 17 and I used my own made up sign language with him :)
My 16 year old lost an eye because of an infection about two years ago, and is always bumping into things and falling from places because he misjudges distances.. :p

Try to keep your kittie's nails as short as you can.. a nail file is handy too..:)

My cat has had a heart murmur since birth. The Veterinarian has always said not to worry cause he'd most likely die from advanced age. No meds available to deal with the defect.

When I take him to the Vet's, I'm going to ask them to trim his nails short for me. Thankz for that tip.

Willow, I am sorry for your loss. Like many others have said, losing a family pet is like losing a family member. It is extremely hard. I sincerely hope you are feeling better now! :smiley31:

Thank you for the Rainbow Bridge poem Peter!
I was looking for it yesterday, but couldn't find it in my computer.. probably is one of the many things locked up in my old computer.. :(

When the day comes, and I cross that bridge, I will have an enormous family of furry and feathered friends that will greet me there...
