nuns and their place in the Catholic Church is a bit wobbly for as long as Jesus never really brought women into his forte and the stubborn Church has not gotten out of the dark ages and advanced their thoughts on women and their role in the Church. (amongst other things: homosexuality, divorce, etc)

Hey, who was that woman sitting next to Jesus in the Last Supper, huh? Anyway, your statement is a bit out of touch with human culture. Look at which sex was in control all the way up to modern times- men. You did not expect Jesus to surround himself with women did you? (unless they were for comfort.)

I have never really looked at the painting all that much so (pardon my ignorance on this part)....but aside from her and his Mother, you never heard of the women in the flock of followers

Confirming the point I was making, men were in charge, women were in the kitchen and bedroom. Where have I heard that before?
