I see the abuse here in my state.

is it just from the cops or are other officials abusing power and infringing on privacy/constitutional rights

for example army, firefighters, teachers whatever

Law enforcement. ..and very quick to tase you.
Being nice goes a very long ways to avoid the abuse...which I recommend.
The problem then continues on to dishonest prosecutors.
The state is divided up into dozens of counties. ..some are honest while some are not.
Its mainly the young that get abused by the system

And schools too now..at some you have to submit to random drug tests to be able to park on the property if you are a student as an example.

Exactly..whats next...random drug tests for elective classes?..Which you have to take anyway.

I just as well toss in propery siezure while I am at it..get behind on your property tax on the house you own..they will take it from you and sell it.
So lets say..you went ro the mideast to do construction work...some fruitcakes nab you and hold you captive
When you return...you no longer have a house.

the brits have some weird property related laws
something about squatters rights, meaning someone can break into an un-occupied house, live in it and of they stay quiet for a while ( there is a prescribed minimum) then thye get to claim legal ownership, despite the fact that the realk owner may still be living and just overseas or living elsewhere

Thats a crazy law...in theory you could kill someone bury them in thier own back yard and take over the house
